Emirates : UK Tours
Project overview:
The launch of the new Emirates UK Tours website meant a complete overhaul of their existing system with a new interface design, user journey and content management system. The emphasis is on showcasing all of the luxurious locations Emirates fly to and the excursions they offer. For the first time Emirates are able to accept online tranactions for flights, hotels and excursions.
The WOW bits:
- Interfaces to a number of back office systems for flight, hotel and excursion availability and booking
- All content is controlled via a .NET content management system (CMS)
- Built using ASP.Net utilising web services and Ajax to pass data to and from the system
- A global effort with teams based in Nottingham, London and Dubai
Business advantage:
- First transactional website for Emirates UK Tours allowing customers to book flights, hotels and excursions online
- Provides another revenue stream with minimal overheads and 24hour availability
- Gives customers more flexibility in how they interact with Emirates UK Tours
